DAY 1 Oslo
Welcome to Oslo! On arrival make your own way to the hotel. The remainder of your day is at leisure to explore the Norwegian capital.

DAY 2 Oslo - Flam
This morning board the train to the mountain station of Myrdal, where you will join the Flam Railway, a masterpiece of engineering descending 865 metres to the fjord. The rest of the evening will be at leisure. Enjoy an optional Viking Plank dinner and experience a unique 5 course meal perfectly paired with 5 different types of beer from the local brewery.

DAY 3 Flam - Balestrand
Today, join an optional tour to Stegastein Viewpoint for panoramic views 650 metres over the magnificent Aurlandsfjord, or perhaps if you'd prefer to take it easy, why not relax in your own private floating sauna amidst the fjords. Follow that up with an invigorating dip in the fjord waters for an unforgettable experience. Later in the day, journey to north to Balestrand by boat. Idyllically located by the Sognefjord, Balestrand is a wonderful place to soak up the grandeur, nature and charming architecture of this very special part of the world.

DAY 4 Balestrand - Bergen
After breakfast, make your way to the pier to board the ferry to Bergen, the capital of the fjords. After arrival and check in at the hotel, the afternoon is yours to discover the highlights of this charming city. We recommend a visit to the popular Fish and Flower Market, Bryggen Harbour and the old Hanseatic Quarter. You may also like to take the funicular to Mt. Floyen, for the best views of the city and fjords.

DAY 5 Bergen - Lofthus
Travel by bus to Norheimsund, situated in the heart of Hardanger, if time permits you may wish to spend the afternoon in this interesting village on the north side of the Hardangerfjord. From here, board a ferry to Lofthus and upon arrival check in at the stunning Hotel Ullensvang. Nestled along the shores of Hardangerfjord and with a beautiful mountain and fjord vistas, Hotel Ullensvanga will be your base for the next 2 nights.

DAY 6 Lofthus
Enjoy a full day at leisure in this peaceful village located on the shores of Sorfjorden. We recommend you visit the church, dating back to 1250, with its fine stained-glass windows and surrounding cemetery from the middle ages. The church is a great spot from which to view the magnificent Folgefonna Glacier. Also worth a visit is Edvard Grieg's Composer Cabin in your hotel’s garden or take a wander in the fruit tree fields. The Ullensvang region is a known fruit farming area, and in spring thousands of fruit trees are breathtakingly white during blossom.

DAY 7 Lofthus - Rosendal
Travel by bus to romantic Rosendal, especially known for the Barony Rosendal, a historic estate and manor house located in the village. On arrival, check in to your fjord view room at your hotel, followed by an afternoon free for exploring. You may wish see the Kvinnherad Church or the Barony Rosendal for a walk through different periods, shaped by the various owners throughout its 250 year history. Also see the Rosendal Gardens with over 60 acres of landscaped parklands consisting of the 300 year old Renaissance garden with an abundance of roses and the Kitchen and Herb garden with herbs, flowers, vegetables, fruits and berries.

DAY 8 Rosendal – Bergen
Depart this morning for your return journey to Bergen by ferry where you can enjoy one last spectacular trip along the scenic Hardangerfjord.
