Explore the amazing Alta area, a magical world within the Arctic Circle and one of the best places to see the Northern lights! DAY 1 Alta
Welcome to Alta, high up in the Arctic Circle. On your arrival into Alta airport you will be transferred to the Sorrisniva Igloo Hotel, where you will be spending the next 3 nights. This wonderful 4 star hotel is famed for its locally caught foods, and traditional Norwegian experiences.

DAY 2 Alta
After breakfast at the hotel, your exploration of this stunning frozen land begins. At 10am, take a husky sledding tour along the Alta River, and deep into the nearby pine forests. Speed through the snow and trees, with two people per sled, taking it in turns to be the musher. Once back at the kennel, you will have time to spend with the miraculous huskies, and warm up next to the fire in a traditional tipi. Later that night, at 10pm, you will explore the winter darkness with a Sami guide and their reindeers to try and spot the Northen Lights. Sit in a sled and let the reindeers take you across the land, as you are told the stories of the Sami culture, looking into the sky for the shimmering lights. Make sure not to whistle or wave if you see it though!

DAY 3 Alta
Jump onto your own Snowmobile today on a tour through the Alta Valley and up to the Finnmark Plateau. Starting at 10am, taking this tour during the day allows you to see the special light conditions and colours on the horizon, which are best seen from the Plateau covered in snow and ice. You will return to the hotel where you will be taken on a short tour of the Igloo hotel. The northernmost igloo hotel in the world, it is made up of 250 tonnes of ice, harvested from Alta Valley itself, and is designed each year by experience artists and builders. You might even be able to have a special drink at the Ice Bar.

Bid farewell to the beauty of Alta, with breakfast at the hotel and your transfer back to the airport.
