Spectacular Fjord Circle

DAY 1 Oslo
Welcome to Oslo, the capital of the beautiful kingdom of Norway! On arrival make your way to the hotel. Depending on the time of day, you can start exploring this marvellous city right away. Have a wonder down to the bay to take in some of the local food and the scenery of the Oslo fjord, or maybe a stroll down Karl John street for a bit of shopping. This evening, join your fellow tour members and guide at a welcome meeting.

DAY 2 Oslo - Trondheim
Depart from Oslo this morning journeying by train towards the city of Trondheim. Along the way you will see the Norwegian countryside passing you in all of its glory, including the Vinstra region and Lake Mjosa. On arrival to Trondheim you will be taken on a tour of the city, allowing you to glimpse the Cathedral of Nidaros in all of its gothic splendour. The rest of the day will be yours to explore what this ancient Viking settlement has to offer.

DAY 3 Trondheim - Havila Voyage
Today your Havila cruise is waiting to take you down the Trondheim fjord! Cruise along marvelling at the mountains rising out of the sea and enjoy lunch on board the ship. In the afternoon maybe take an optional tour and disembark the ship to be driven along the Atlantic Ocean road, one of the most beautiful in the world. You will spend the night on board, in a superior sea view cabin with dinner included.

DAY 4 Bergen
Continue cruising along a diverse coastal landscape of bare rocky mountains and a maze of sounds and waterways between many islands. At the end of the voyage, disembark into "The Gateway to the Fjords" , Bergen. A UNESCO world heritage site, the city is a wonderful location to explore. Start with a tour of the city, passing through such places as the Hanseatic Bryggen, the church of saint Mary, the Hakon fortress and the famous fish market.

DAY 5 Bergen
Riding the Floibanen Funicular is on the agenda today, which takes you up the Floyen mountain with beautiful views of the whole city. After journeying back down, you will have the opportunity to taste the local seafood, such as smoked salmon or fresh shrimp, in a local restaurant.

DAY 6 Bergen - Voss
The fjords lie ahead as you travel towards Harnagerfjord. Take a short cruise to Bondhus where you will take a 30 minutes hike seeing the icefall valley, from Sundal to Bondhusvatnet lake. In the afternoon you will travel by boat to Hardanger, a wonderful romantic destination, and during June you can see rows and rows of blossoming fruit trees. After this the cruise will stop in Ulvik where you will continue onto Voss and spend the night

DAY 7 Voss - Flam - Gol
After breakfast head towards the town of Flam. You can take the optional journey via the famous Flamsbana. Depart from the main tour and start from Voss and travel to Myrdal through the mountains. There you change over onto the Flamsbana and take one of the steepest train lines in the world, with jaw dropping views, to Flam. Here you will meet up with the tour once again. If time allows, join a cruise to Gudvangen, sailing through the idyllic Sognefjord. Once at Gudvangen you are free to explore until continuing to Gol for the night.

DAY 8 Gol - Oslo
Crossing the Norwegian highlands and the coast of lake Kroderen you will be returning to the city of Oslo. Upon arrival you will take a city tour, visiting Frogner park and Vigeland, with the opportunity to see the royal Palace, City Hall and Akershus fortress.

DAY 9 Oslo
After breakfast and checkout of your hotel, your tour concludes for your onward journey.

Day 3: The Atlantic Road: Whilst on the Havila cruise, take the option to travel on one of the most beuatiful roads in the world. After lunch in the afternoon disembark the ship at Kristiansund and be driven along the Atlantic road as it meanders along islets and skerries. The journey takes around 4.5 hours, and you will embark the ship again in the town of Molde.

Day 7: Flamsbana Rail Journey: As the tour continues on to Flam, take the option to catch first a train from Voss through the mountains to Myrdal. Then catch the famous Flamsbana on to Flam, which climbs one of the steepest tracks in the world, and winds through jaw dropping scenery. On arrival in Flam, rejoin the group for the rest of the journey.
