On this tour you will discover the winter capitals of these Norway and Sweden. This tour is ideal for the ones of you that like to combine the luxurious and cultural life of a metropolis with adventure and stunning landscape. Start in Stockholm, one of the world’s most beautiful capitals and travel from there to Sweden’s cool winter hot spot – the Icehotel in Jukkasjärvi. The last stop is Tromsø, the winter capital of Norway, also known as Paris of the North.
DAY 1 STOCKHOLM
Arrival in Stockholm and make your way to your hotel. Enjoy your first look at Sweden’s charming capital city. Take time to explore the small and winding alley ways and find a restaurant to enjoy dinner this evening.

DAY 2 STOCKHOLM – KIRUNA
Stockholm is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful capitals in the world, built on 14 islands and protected from the sea by the Stockholm archipelago. Your day is at leisure to explore some of the city’s best highlights including the Royal Palace, Parliament Buildings and the enchanting Old Town (Gamla Stan) with its narrow cobbled streets. Later this evening you will make your way to the railway station for your overnight train to Kiruna, northern Sweden. B

DAY 3 KIRUNA
Awake this morning to the magical winter landscape of Swedish Lapland as your train rolls towards Kiruna. On arrival, you will be met by your local driver for a transfer to the famous Icehotel in Jukkasjärvi (located 20 minutes from Kiruna). Enjoy the remainder of your day exploring the surrounds or you may take the opportunity to join one of the many exciting winter activities including a snowmobile safari. Tonight you will have the unique experience of sleeping in an ICE room at a balmy minus 5 degrees. Sleeping on a special bed made of snow and ice and covered by reindeer
skin, you will be toasty warm with your purpose made thermal sleeping bag.

DAY 4 KIRUNA
This morning you are awakened with a cup of warm lingonberry juice at your bedside. After breakfast and a morning sauna, the rest of the day is at your leisure to experience Lappish life and culture. You may choose to join a Husky safari, snow mobile safari or an evening Northern Lights adventure followed by a night cap in the ICEBAR. Tonight’s accommodation is in a warm Kaamos room. B

DAY 5 KIRUNA – ABISKO
After breakfast meet your driver for your transfer back to Kiruna where you will board your train heading to STF Abisko Mountain Station, in the heart of Abisko National Park. 250 kilometres north of the Arctic Circle, visitors from all over the world come to experience the magical Northern Lights, Midnight sun, hiking and skiing. DAY 6 ABISKO
Be sure to eat plenty at breakfast ahead of your exciting day of snow shoe hiking. Tread lightly across snow-covered ground towards an opening in a birch wood forest where suddenly the mountain scenery becomes visible. Take in the magnificent view as you enjoy a light snack and a hot beverage before heading back to the station. Upon arrival back to the station you will be treated to a exclusive dinner at Aurora Sky Station. Your night starts with a comfortable chairlift ride giving you time to enjoy the serenity and darkness. Enjoy a four-course dinner influence by Nordic cuisine. After dinner you will have the opportunity to learn more about the Northern Lights on a guided tour. B, D
DAY 7 ABISKO - NARVIK
Breakfast at the hotel before boarding the train to Narvik in Norway. There are two sides to Narvik, on the one hand the location is breathtaking, spectacular fjords stretch from the north to the south, with islands to the west and surrounded by mountains in every other direction. The city is however quite industrial with millions of tonnes of cargo shipped annually from the port. Check in to the hotel and enjoy an evening at leisure in Narvik. B

DAY 8 NARVIK - TROMSØ
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before taking the 1810 meter long Narvikfjellet cable car to the highest point of the station. You will be met by breathtaking views over Narvik City and the surrounding mountains. Later you will board the coach and head to Tromsø, the capital of the Arctic. Tromsø is the world’s most northerly university town and due to its location within the heart of the Northern Lights belt it is also one of the best places on earth to view the Aurora Borealis. B

DAY 9 TROMSØ
Breakfast is served at the hotel, enjoy your day to exploring the Arctic capital. Take the Fjellheisen cable car up to the mountain ledge Storsteinen. The rest of your day is spent at leisure, visit the Polar Museum, Northern Light Planetarium or simply wander around the largest city north of the Arctic Circle. This evening you may wish to experience the arctic terrain on an exhilarating snowmobile safari while chasing the famous Aurora Borealis. B
