DAY 1 Oslo
Welcome to Oslo! On arrival make your way to your hotel followed by the remainder of your day free to explore the Norwegian capital.

DAY 2 Oslo - Flam
Early departure from Oslo Railway Station to depart on one of the most beautiful trips in Europe, the Norway in a Nutshell tour. This unique and popular excursion takes you through some of the most magnificent scenery to be found on the west coast of Norway. Your journey on the Flam Railway is regarded as one of the high points on the Norway in a Nutshell tour. The 20 kilometre long train journey from the mountain station of Myrdal and down to Flam deep in the fjord takes around 55 minutes. On the journey you have views of some of the most magnificent mountain scenery in Norway with an ever-changing panorama of tall mountains and thundering waterfalls. Along the Flam railway the train moves slowly or stops at the best views. On arrival in the idyllic fjord side village of Flam make the short walk to your hotel for check-in.

DAY 3 Flam
Wake up to the beauty of the fjords with a full day ahead to explore Flam and its surroundings including a trip to the extraordinary and spectacular Stegastein Viewpoint. This structure, which juts out 30 metres from the mountainside, 650 metres above the fjord, offers an unparalleled panorama. A more amazing view of the fjord, mountains and surrounding landscape is hard to imagine.

This evening is reserved for a unique dinner experience at the Ægir Brewpub. You will be served the Ægir Viking plank, a unique 5-course beer and food menu consisting of five local dishes perfectly paired with five different kinds of beer locally brewed at the Ægir Brewery. This is a wonderful way to experience the fjords and food of Norway in cosy surroundings.

DAY 4 Flam - Bergen
Continue your journey on the Norway in a Nutshell tour by premium vessel along the Aurlandsfjord and then the Naeroyfjord, the narrowest fjord in Europe. The Naeroyfjord is now included on the UNESCO World Heritage List and surrounded by mighty mountains up to 1,800 metres high; this branch of the Sognefjord is amazingly beautiful. Along the way there are views of the small traditional farms and villages before you arrive in Gudvangen. From here you take a coach up the steep and spectacular hairpin bends of Stalheimskleiva to the Stalheim Hotel from where you can enjoy wonderful views of the Stalheimsfossen and Sivlefossen waterfalls. After a short stop at the viewpoint, continue to Voss where you catch the train to Bergen, beautiful capital of the fjords.

DAY 5 Bergen
Your tour concludes this morning after breakfast and check out from your hotel. If you have time in Bergen before your departure we recommend a visit to the popular Fish and Flower Market, Bryggen Harbour and the old Hanseatic Quarter. You may also like to take the funicular to Mt.Floyen, for the best views of the city and fjords.
