DAY 1 Helsinki
Your tour begins with an optional arrival transfer to your hotel in Helsinki before meeting your Tour Manager and fellow travellers for a welcome drink.

DAY 2 Helsinki
Discover Helsinki on sightseeing tour of the Finnish capital. You will have the opportunity to see the Senate Square, the Lutheran Cathedral, Market Square, Presidential Palace, the Orthodox Uspenski Cathedral and the Olympic Stadium. Lastly, visit the unique Temppeliaukio Church, also known as the “Church in the Rock”. B

DAY 3 Helsinki – Kemi
This morning, board the northbound train to Kemi. Travel through magical landscapes with endless snow-covered forests and lakes covered with ice. On arrival in Kemi in the late afternoon you will be transferred to your hotel situated by the frozen sea, offering incredible views. Enjoy dinner at the hotel and spend the night in a glass villa with a view of the starry sky. BD

DAY 4 Kemi – Rovaniemi – Saariselka
Take the morning to discover Kemi before a transfer to the famous Sampo Arctic Icebreaker, for a truly unique cruise. This is a unique opportunity to witness the thundering sound of more than 3,500 tons of steel crushing the thick ice of the Gulf of Bothnia, and maybe even take a dip in Europe’s largest ice field! Travel further north through Finnish Lapland, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant in Rovaniemi before continuing to Saariselka for a unique stay in a glass igloo . BD

DAY 5 Saariselka

Your first adventure is an exhilarating husky safari through the snowy forests and fells. Driving a team of huskies over the white, shimmering fells is an experience you will never forget. In the evening, you will visit an Aurora Camp by the lake. Here you warm up in a cosy hut by the fire enjoying a warm drink and a traditional Lapland midnight snack. If the conditions are right you will see the lights dance across the sky. BD

DAY 6 Saariselka – Inari – Karasjok
Morning departure, via Inari, to visit the Siida Sami Museum. This museum is dedicated to the Sami culture and the diverse nature of Northern Lapland. Continue north-west, crossing the border into Norway and arriving in Karasjok with its small population of approximately 3,000 inhabitants, and some 60,000 reindeer! BD

DAY 7 Karasjok – North Cape – Honningsvag

This morning you will travel through the North Cape tunnel to Mageroya Island to visit the North Cape cliff (subject to the weather conditions). BD

DAY 8 Honningsvag – Alta
Travel south along the Posanger fjord, bound for Alta. In the afternoon visit the wonderful Alta Museum to see the exhibitions on the history and traditions of the indigenous Sami people and the Northern Lights. The remainder of your day is free. B

DAY 9 Alta – Tromso

Today, drive along scenic Arctic fjords to Tromsø, the gateway to the Arctic and former starting point of many North Pole expeditions. This city is situated in the heart of the Northern Lights zone and is known as one of the best places on earth to experience this mysterious phenomenon. Tonight chase the lights on a Northern Lights Safari. BD

DAY 10 Tromso
Discover Tromso and its highlights today with a full day at leisure. Visit the Polar Museum, which contains the history of the Arctic explorers Amundsen, Nansen and Scott; wander the historic centre with its centuries-old wooden houses; see the Arctic Cathedral with its soaring stained glass windows. You can also embark on more arctic wilderness adventure by joining an optional Reindeer Safari or husky safari. B

DAY 11 Tromso
