DAY 1 Copenhagen
Welcome to Copenhagen! Your tour commences with an arrival transfer to your hotel. After settling in at your hotel, spend the day exploring the beautiful city. Close to your hotel you will find the charming Latin Quarter, one of Copenhagen's oldest and most atmospheric districts. This evening, join your fellow tour members and Tour Manager at a welcome meeting.

DAY 2 Copenhagen
Copenhagen is Scandinavia’s largest and most lively city and one of Europe’s most romantic capitals. Admire the City Hall Square where the famous pedestrian street “Stroeget” begins, Drive by the Old Stock Exchange and the Naval church followed by the Royal Danish Theatre and the 17th-century Nyhavn Harbour, with its picturesque houses and boats. Continue to the impressive Gefion Fountain and the Royal residence, Amalienborg Palace before finally meeting the landmark of Copenhagen, the statue of the Little Mermaid.
Enjoy your afternoon at leisure, alternatively you may like to join our Experience Copenhagen Like a Dane optional tour which takes you by water bus with a local guide to Reffen, Copenhagen's famous Street Food Market. Here you will have some free time to explore the many stalls with local foods and beverages and to enjoy the relaxed and informal atmosphere that characterises the Danes.

DAY 3 Copenhagen - Odense - Aarhus
Travel west, a short distance from Copenhagen, and you will visit the history-steeped city of Roskilde. This former capital of Denmark has a long history, dating from the pre-Christian Viking Age and is home to a World Heritage-listed cathedral. Visit Roskilde Cathedral, which houses 39 tombs of the Danish monarchs, before continuing further west to Aarhus via Odense, birthplace of the famous Danish writer Hans Christian Andersen. Before check in at your hotel enjoy a guided visit to Den Gamle By (the Old City) an open-air town museum located in central Aarhus.

DAY 4 Aarhus - Hirtshals - Kristiansand - Stavanger
Depart Aarhus for Hirtshals located in the very north of the Peninsula of Jutland. Here you will board your ferry for your 2 hour journey north to Kristiansand in Norway. Upon early afternoon arrival in Kristiansand continue to Stavanger, known as Norway's 'Oil City' for its importance in oil exploration. This evening join your Tour Manager for a walking tour of Stavanger's charming old centre which has some of the best-preserved wooden buildings in the country.

DAY 5 Stavanger - Lysefjord - Bergen
Today begins with a visit to the majestic Lysefjord and the iconic Pulpit Rock. Board an electric boat and cruise from downtown Stavanger to Lysefjord and Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock) along the way visit Fantahala (Vagabond's Cave) to see where the "vagrants" hid form the sheriff in the old days. Further along, arrive at Pulpit Rock before reaching the towering Hengjanefossen waterfall, where the crew brings the bow so close to the falls that you risk getting your face doused with delightful spray. On the conclusion of your cruise you will drive north along the coast to Bergen, where the fjords and archipelago are connected by bridges and ferry crossings.

DAY 6 Bergen
Following breakfast, you have the whole day to explore the beautiful city of Bergen, capital of the Norwegian fjords. With your local guide discover the highlights of this Hanseatic city, including the UNESCO World Heritage site of Bryggen port, St Marys Church and a scenic funicular ride to the peak of Mt Floien to admire the beauty of Bergen and the surrounding mountains. Back in the city, visit the colourful fish markets where you will enjoy a fish platter to sample local delicacies.

DAY 7 Bergen - Gudvangen - Flam - Borgund - Hemsedal
Early departure to travel to the Naeroy Valley and Stalheim, where you can enjoy a break with Norwegian waffles and stunning views down the Stalheim Gorge. Continue down the Naeroy valley to Gudvangen for a beautiful fjord cruise along the Naeroyfjord one of the narrowest and most scenic journeys in fjord Norway. Marvel at the sheer size and beauty of the surrounding landscape as you cruise to the fjord village of Flam. Spend your time at leisure in Flam or perhaps join and optional tour aboard the famous Flam Railway or visit the Stegastein Viewpoint.
Later this afternoon you will travel through the mountains to Borgund to admire the stunning architecture of one of the last remaining Norwegian stave churches before your final stop tonight, the Fyri Resort in Hemsedal.

DAY 9 Hemsedal – Oslo
Leave the majestic Norwegian fjords behind and travel back to Oslo. Upon arrival in Oslo visit the impressive Munch Museum where you can admire Munch’s masterpiece, The Scream (guiding is not allowed inside the museum). In the afternoon, your local guide will share the many highlights of the Norwegian capital including the Opera House, the Royal Palace, the main street of Karl Johan and Vigeland Park with the unique sculptures and artistic works of Gustav Vigeland.

DAY 10 Oslo - Stockholm
This morning, drive to Stockholm, passing through a varied landscape of forests, fertile farmland and blue lakes. A lunch will be served in Karlstad located by the Lake Vänern. Arrive in the Swedish capital in the afternoon and check-in to your hotel.

DAY 11 Stockholm
Stockholm is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful capitals in the world, built on 14 islands and protected from the sea by the Stockholm archipelago. Your morning sightseeing tour takes you to the Old Town with its Royal Palace, the medieval Stockholm Cathedral and famous City Hall. Afternoon at leisure for further discovery, alternatively we highly recommend an optional visit to the VASA Museum, Scandinavia's top museum built around the only intact 17th century warship.
