DAY 1 Lulea
Welcome to Sweden! Upon arrival at Lulea, you will make your way to the hotel, check-in starts at 14.00 hrs. Today, meet your tour Manager at 18.00 hrs at the hotel reception for a brief introduction to your Lulea Winter Explorer Tour.
Lulea is the capital of the region known as Norrbotten County. It is the northernmost city of Sweden and can be found on the northwest corner of the Gulf of Bothnia. It is a small, laidback city with more than its fair share of world class restaurants and a perfect base point for many Arctic activities in Sweden.

DAY 2 Lulea
After breakfast, you will head to the harbour where you’ll embark on a 2 hour Icebreaker excursion for a cruise through the ice of the northern Gulf of Bothnia. An unforgettable adventure! Once you’re in the vessel, listen to the sound of ice blocks being crushed against the hull of the boat. You will have the opportunity to go for a walk on the ice and enjoy a hot drink. Afterwards, the rest of the day is at leisure, or you may want to explore this coastal city further. Lulea is known for the Gammelstad Church Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site, a cluster of well-preserved wooden houses, and the stone Nederlulea Church from the 1400s. In the city centre, you may want to visit the Norrbottens Museum which showcases local history, art, and culture.

DAY 3 Lulea
This morning you'll be introduced to a dog sledding trip. Your guide will show you how sled works and how to harness and connect the dogs in the team. Once everything is set up, then it's time to drive away. Enjoy the landscape as you drive through the forest. Stop for a rest, and enjoy a hot drink and a sandwich before continuing your day to the next adventure.
In the evening, make your way to Central Lulea, where your driver will take you for a hunt to see the magnificent Aurora Borealis. On your way, enjoy warm beverages and some Swedish Fika. Once you find the best location, where the sky is clear and free of artificial light and if the weather conditions are suitable, then, you'll have a big chance to witness the Northern Lights and of course, don't miss the opportunity to take a lot of nice photos.

DAY 4 Lulea
Today enjoy a full day at leisure. Perhaps, you may want to try one of the optional tours, such as Snowmobile, Ice fishing, or continue chasing the Northern Lights. Lulea is also a great food destination with a variety of restaurants in Swedish Lapland with little influence from the indigenous community. Here, you will find some of the Sami culture and its fascinating traditions and way of life.

DAY 5 Lulea
Enjoy breakfast and say farewell to your new friends and tour manager as the tour concludes today. We hope you have had an exceptional Arctic adventure!
