DAY 1 STOCKHOLM
Upon arrival at Stockholm Airport, you will be met for your group transfer to your hotel. At check-in you will be presented a Welcome Letter by issued by the tour operator, advising you where to meet your tour leader for a welcome meeting at 18:00hrs, where you will receive information on the upcoming tour program. This evening you will enjoy a 2hour walking tour of the Swedish capital. Your hotel located in the very heart of the capital gives easy access to the main sights such as the walking street Drottningsgatan, the beautiful Kungsträdgaarden and the historic Old Town with the Royal Palace.

DAY 2 STOCKHOLM – LULEÅ
Meet with local guide and depart by private coach for a 3hour city sightseeing tour. The city of Stockholm is built on 14 islands and connected by 57 bridges. The city embraces the unique character of the 13th century Old Town and modern high-tech architecture. Stockholm is proudly called “Beauty on Water” and this sightseeing tour, includes a walk in the Old Town. Discover a city of contrasts. The tour ends at Arlanda Airport where you will board for a 1hour 20minute flight to Lulea. B

DAY 3 LULEA – KIRUNA
After breakfast, enjoy free time to explore the city of Lulea, the largest city in Swedish Lapland located at the mouth of the Lule River. At 11.00hrs you will board the private coach for Kiruna (340km) . The scenic ride across the top of Sweden gives you time to relax while taking in the beauty of nature. Arrive in Kiruna, the northern most town in Sweden, and check-in to your hotel, where you can enjoy an early evening meal (at your own expense) prior to departing to visit for approximately 7 hours (19:30hrs – 02:30hrs) the Aurora Sky Station in Abisko (98kms). From 21:00hrs – 01:00hrs the Aurora Sky Station offers the possibility to gaze at the Northern Lights and the stars from a large, outdoor terrace and lookout tower. Inside you find a Northern Lights exhibition with a comprehensive presentation of the Aurora Borealis and in the warm cosy café you may treat yourself to “fika” (coffee break) and cake or browse around for a souvenir. DAY 4 KIRUNA
Meet at 11:00hrs to prepare for a day full of adventure. Your private coach takes you on an 18km ride to Jukkasjarvi, where you will enjoy a guided tour of the most well-known Icehotel, the first in the world dating back to the late 1980ies and learn the history of the impressive ice construction rising out of the snow and ice - every year in a new design. Depart 1km down the road to the Jukkasjarvi Church with its striking interior parts of which date back from 1608, making it the oldest surviving church in Lapland.

Right next door Nutti Sami Siida awaits you. Here you will have the opportunity to mingle with reindeer and a enjoy a traditional Sami lunch. During the visit you will be allowed into the reindeer enclosure (together with a guide) for an up-close encounter with the friendly animals.

Tonight there is the opportunity to enjoy a night at the Icehotel. Transfer to the Jukkasjarvi Ice Hotel and spend an extraordinary night in an Ice Room “Igloo”. The rooms, all made of ice and snow, holds a temperature of -5 to -8 degrees Celsius. Included in this Optional Tour** are free entry to sauna, loan of snowsuit, boots, mittens and balaclava. BL

Stay at Camp Ripan (3.5 star)

DAY 5 KIRUNA – NARVIK – SVOLVAER
Depart by private coach to the Kiruna Rail Station to board the Arctic Circle Train. The next 3.5hours, all you need to do is sit back and enjoy the most beautiful train ride in Scandinavia. This train line, part of the Iron Ore Line, played a central role during WWII, supplying the Germans with iron critical for wartime production of steel. Disembark in Narvik and enjoy a casual lunch (at your expense) before continuing towards Svolvaer by private coach 230km.
Arrive in Svolvaer and check-in at your hotel. The town has an age-old history as a fishing village and the fishing tradition remains one of the most important economical foundations of the town. Aside from the proud fishing culture, Svolvaer offers magnificent nature, a culture scene with many galleries and the well-known Lofoten War Memorial Museum.

Early evening there is the opportunity to join one of the 3hour Optional Tours**, Fishing Village Walk & Dinner at Borsen Spiseri – includes transportation, guided tour, 3-course dinner. Minimum 4 people. This Optional Tour needs to be pre-booked and is subject to availability. B

Stay at Svinøya Rorbuer (4 star)

DAY 6 SVOLVAER / BORG – LEKNES – REINE – NUSFJORD
The first stop on today’s journey will be the Viking Lofotr Museum, where you can see the excavation of the largest known Viking House. Open all year this museum offers several permanent exhibitions with audio guides, the state of the art in museum technology. Continue through the idyllic village of Leknes, before reaching Reine at approximately 13:30hrs for lunch at the local restaurant. After lunch continue via Nusfjord and return to Svolvaer. BL

DAY 7 SVOLVAER / HENNINGSVAER - KABELVAAG
Continue discovering the wonders of Lofoten as you travel towards Henningsvaer, one of the most famous fishing villages of Lofoten, inhabited by only 1300 people. Here you have some free time to explore this beautiful town on your own and enjoy a lunch at one of the many restaurants. Next, travel to Kabelvaag, another important fishing village, for a visit to the North Museum where the history of the local fishing industry is presented in one of the best preserved squire farms of Lofoten. The museum offers exhibitions on Lofoten fishing history, ports, lighthouses and traditional crafts. Return to Svolvaer mid afternoon and enjoy some free time prior to this evening Optional Tour.

This evening Optional Tour**, 3hr Searching the Northern Lights – includes Transportation, guide, snacks, hot chocolate & use of tripod. Minimum 2 people. This Optional Tour needs to be pre-booked. B

DAY 8 SVOLVAER - TROMSO
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before a long day of travelling to Tromso. En-route you will stop at the famous Polar Park, the northernmost animal park in the world! The Polar Park is home to large carnivores from the Nordic countries as well as Nordic deer. The park prides itself with having the animals in their natural surroundings and the largest area per animal. You will have the opportunity to see wolves, beers, elk and reindeer during your visit. After the visit to your journey continues to Tromso. Check in to the hotel and enjoy an evening at leisure.

Enjoy spectacular panoramic views of Tromso on an Optional tour, 2 hr Tromso Cable Car - includes transportation, life ride and guide. Minimum 2 people B

DAY 9 TROMSO
This morning enjoy a 3hour city sightseeing tour, learn about the history and traditions of the Sami people, visit the world's northernmost Botanical Gardens and enjoy the fantastic views of the surrounding mountains, visit the Tromso University Museum and learn fascinating facts on nature and culture in Norway. Continue your tour around the island, passing Lake Prestvatn, travel across the bridge to the Arctic Cathedral and finish the tour with a visit to the Arctic experience centre Polaria. Tonight you will be met and transferred for your Aurora Husky Visit. At the camp you will be equipped with thermal overalls and boots. 300 friendly Alaskan huskies will be waiting to greet you and enjoy some cuddles, followed by a playful and affectionate visit to the puppy enclosure. Enjoy a traditional Norwegian dinner and dessert in a cosy Gamme hut. As you sit around a warm bonfire your guide will keep a close eye on the sky in case the Aurora appears. BD

DAY 10 TROMSO - ALTA
Breakfast at the hotel and enjoy free time before your transfer by Flybussen to Tromso Airport for your onward journey.
